File verification
File verification is a simple way to verify the integrity of a file by using the files hash. It’s also possible to check the file for threats simultaniously.
Neoscan
Our new scan technology optimizes the use of local and online information to search efficiently for threats. This new modules simplifies scanning within the application and optimizes the experiences taking into account the context. This new module will be implemented at more places in the future.
ClamAV
The definities of ClamAV our now accessible by Neoscan. An internet connection is required at this moment, a local copy of the definitions isn’t stored.
Virustotal
Due to a limitation by Virustotal the number of calls per dat is now limited. To collect insights into the number of calls executed each day, this information is now logged by Dynalog.
Compression technology
Compression technology was implemented into the live update module. Thanks to this internet traffic to get the latest definitions can be reduced up to 75%.
To save disc space, DynalogPlus files are now being regulary compressed. After a while thet compressed files are removed.

Support for SHA384 and SHA512.

File properties
- Visual improvements to the overview screen.
- Additional basic information: product version, copyright, trademark and description.
- Metadata for certain mediatypes is now available.
- When metadata is being loaded, a loading screen might be shown.
- Improvements to optimize memory usage.

KnownFolders / WinFolders
- KnownFolders (by Syroot) was replaced by WinFolders (own implementation).
- Solving an issue where the path couldn’t be detected for certain files.
Live update
- The integrity of the catalogue is being checked after download.
- When a downloaded file was empty, could have been thrown.
DynalogPlus
- Applying a filter on the source column can now be done by using a dropdown list.
- Aside the files listed in the overview, it’s now also possible to select your own file for viewing.
- In certain situations codes were added to log lines.
Other
- Longer time-outs for server requests.
- Improved way for checking internet access.
- The reliability scores for the different engines were updated.
- Improved translations in the about screen.
- Engines are now sorted (A-Z) in the detailed overview.
- An optimization to the conclusion field was implemented to prevent text from being truncated.
- The hash type is now being checked when a hash is being chedk to indicated if it’s a correct length.
- Schadow effects are shown when hovering over a menu element.
- The old2 folder under libraries was removed.
- Consolidation of the local library files is improved.

Solved issues
- Multiple analysis modules were throwing an error when no file was selected. A message will now be shown to prevent this.
- Changing the option of the newsfeed setting had no effect.
- In certain cases the wrong source was shown in DynalogPlus.
- The code field wasn’t uploaded by Dynalog.
- Certain fields were not shown in the DynalogPlus window.
- It wasn’t possible to minimize the DynalogPlus window.
